Your privacy at at-peace.net is our passionate commitment. This privacy policy describes how we treat both your information and your personal media. It is not written by lawyers or intended for lawyers (i.e. it is non-binding), we just want you to know we believe in doing what’s right and fair for you.
Ownership of Your Media and Media Rights
The good news is you will always maintain the ownership of your original media (slides, photos, videotape, digital media, etc.) submitted to at-peace.net for processing. at-peace.net is simply the temporary custodian of the media, until the media is delivered to the shipper/carrier for return to you. The good news is the rights to any digital, print or other media resulting from your originals is also 100% owned by you. We will never intentionally display, use or distribute any images or media resulting from our services unless we have your express written permission.
Your Personal Information Should Remain Your Personal Information
Your personal information is considered data which specifically identifies you, such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card or other account numbers, as well as, information about your activities directly linked to you, such as information about your purchases. Your personal information also includes demographic information, such as date of birth, gender, geographic area and preferences. As we discuss below, our intent is to keep your personal information, just that, personal and private. We may aggregate personal information from multiple clients into summary data, which is not considered personal information. Aggregate information is data collected about a group or category of products, services or customers who cannot be identified individually, so we can improve services and better meet your needs.
Personal Information We Collect and How We Us It
You provide personal information to us in a number of ways when you visit Site. We collect your name, billing and shipping addresses, email address, phone number, credit card number and expiration date. Like most sites you visit, when you visit our Site, some information is automatically collected, such as your computer's operating system and browser type, version, and capabilities (such as whether JavaScript is enabled) your Internet Protocol (IP) address and the time and date of your visit, the referring site (if applicable), as well as screen resolution, color and depth. Your Personal Information will not be Shared, Except to Provide You Great Services
We often store media for display on the website maintained by SmugMug, Inc. (www.SmugMug.com); our Site is hosted by Verio, Inc.(www.Verio.com) and our credit card transactions are processed by Intuit {the same people who make Quicken bank software and the Quicken accounting software} - www.intuit.com. In addition, we also use the FedEx and the USPS. These are all top-tier national companies. However, when you submit personal information or media to our Site, you may be submitting it to these companies as well. We may also share your personal information with these companies to deliver the services you have requested (e.g. mailing address). Please note, the information submitted to these top-tier companies will be subject their privacy policy and/or practices which may differ from ours. We do not have control over the privacy practices these companies, so we encourage you to read the privacy policies of any company you may directly or indirectly utilize. Beware any company in today’s environment, who has not put forth the time and effort to deal with this important issue.
Most importantly, we will not sell, rent or share personal information with third parties without your prior consent, except in the limited circumstances described in this policy. We may share personal information with third-party vendors who assist us in performing internal functions necessary to operate our business. These functions may include, for example, analyzing traffic information or other data, providing marketing assistance, mailing items, processing credit card transactions, and fulfilling or delivering orders. Just so you know, we never (ever) keep your credit card number information in any electronic format or on any computer – so please forgive us when you come back for additional services and we ask you for your credit card information again.
We may also disclose personal information necessary to comply with the law or with requests of law enforcement authorities; to enforce or apply this Policy or our other policies or agreements; to bill and collect for amounts owed for our services rendered; to protect our or our customers' rights, property or safety. We may also disclose personal information to the appropriate personnel or companies to protect our customers from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful use of their credit cards, media rights or our Site.

Our Site contains links to other web sites, not affiliated with at-peace.net, for your convenience, so please note we do not have any control over the content or privacy/security practices of other sites. Any information or media you provide to these other linked web sites is provided directly by you to that third party and is subject to that third party's privacy policy and is your responsibility.
Security for Our Site and Your Information
We have put into place reasonable security measures in an effort to prevent loss, misuse and alteration of your information and media while it is under our control. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the protection of information against interception or misappropriation, nor can we promise that your information may be not be disclosed or accessed by accidental circumstances or by the inappropriate acts of others.
If you are issued a “logon name” and password to view your media online, you must keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any other person, to protect your and media. You are responsible for any person using your password. Please advise us immediately if you believe your password has been misused or otherwise misappropriated.
Minors and Children
Our Site is not for minors or children and we do not intend to collect or retain personal information from children who are under 13 years of age. Please actively monitor your children's use of the Internet and help keep them safe. If children under the age of 13 do utilize our site, we will not knowingly collect/retain their information without parental consent, except in specialized circumstances authorized under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
